Josh kept his promise of moving the shop from Queensbury to North Creek by the start of hunting season. This might seem simple to some however, we were living in the camp, that would become my shop. The camp was not finished by any means. One entire wall had exposed insulation and all needed to be sheet rocked and painted. The house was wrapped and windows and doors were installed September 1. On September 2 we drywalled the entire shop and Sam painted the ceiling while Josh put in new lighting. September 3 Sam and her mom painted the shop walls and the bed and dresser was moved to the basement of the house. We kept the shower in place since there was no water at the house yet. We also had our refrigerator, ninja foodie, and couch stashed away in the shop. At the house we had one outlet and one working light. Our outhouse also was still in service at this time and Josh enjoyed the company of his turkeys while answering natures call. Our first official night in the house was September 4th when we had a few celebratory drinks and a bonfire. There was no heat so we had plenty of blankets and welcomed the dogs on the bed! We covered the bed every morning with a tarp and went about our day. Joshs dad, Bryan worked on the plumbing in the house. Josh was working at Altec during the day and on the house at night. Dinners were cooked at the shop in the ninja foodie; a great gift from Sam's mom. We impressed ourselves with some of the creations we made! On September 6th we rented a U-Haul and moved all the shop equipment and antlers from Queensbury to North Creek. For the next two days Sam organized the shop. On September 9 one of the first arrivals to the new shop was a Bison. Ben, Beretta, and Colt all enjoyed spending their days at the shop while Sam worked. When customers arrived Beretta and Colt slept in the truck until they left. Ben enjoyed being the welcoming committee. By the end of September we had established a routine to get by while the house was still in progress. We couldn't have made it through this month with out plenty of support from our family!
